The Diary Of An Internet Marketer

Many people can’t believe how much I get done in a day. Well, you don’t make 6 figures a year sitting around twiddling your thumbs. Earning a living online takes hard work…lots of it. Anyway, I was asked what my typical day is like. Honestly, I don’t have a typical day because I am involved in so many things. But here’s an example of how crazy my day can be.

The day I wrote this, I got up at 7 AM and immediately got to work. I eat breakfast as I work at my PC. I start my morning my doing my advertising. I use mostly FFA Hosting and safelists that I send to in the early AM. It takes me about an hour to complete these tasks.

I then start my article writing for Ezine Articles and the many guest blogs that I write for. This usually takes me up until lunch time. Today, however, there were a few wrinkles in the plan. See, I just started a mentoring program for which I now have 12 students. I heard from about six of them today. It was a real crazy day keeping up with assignments.

While all this was going on, I was also working on my new project with a member of the Warrior Forum. We’re working on a new membership site that we’re hoping to finish up by June. In the last three days, I finished up three different workbooks for this site.

And then there are the customer service emails from people who have purchased products from me. I always support all the products I sell. So that means answering questions when they arise. I try to always get back to people within 24 hours.

In addition to this, I moderate 2 forums. It’s not a lot of work and it does have its perks. Being a moderator for a forum that doesn’t have a ton of traffic is nice. I’d never do it at the Warrior Forum though because I’d probably burn out in a day…even with all I can do.

In the meantime, I’m always brainstorming to try to come up with new products. This is an ongoing process that never stops. Sometimes I’ll think of things in the middle of the night. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve woken up my wife with yet another brainstorm.

My day usually ends at about 10:30 when I take pity on the rest of the family and agree to go to sleep.

So when people ask me how I am so successful, I tell them simply, “I work hard.”

There’s no secret to success and making money online. It’s just a lot of hard work and knowing what you’re doing.

Oh yes…you DO need to know what you’re doing.

I have just purchased this product today.  I was a little hesitant as I thought I’d probably know everything or a lot of what is in it.  I just assumed it was an ebook and that’s it.  My friend Rachel though recommended it to me as she has it and thinks it’s great and although she said I would already know a lot of what is in it that I would still really benefit from it.

This is my opinion just from all the files and resources that it contains.  I will come in here and write more on it when I start doing the course.  As you know from my other posts I am working on some other things so I’m not going to get this course completed in record time or anything, but I will try to do a bit each day.

Being a course and having so much content I decided to give this product a whole category on it’s own so I can regularly update my opinions of it and give a good detailed review.

I feel really good about this product and already I KNOW that I will increase my online income by doing this course.  So stay tuned for more updates about the course in the near future.

I have been so slack with this blog and haven’t been updating it regularly.  If you have read previous posts you would know I’ve been having a very stressful time with one of my children and it really has affected the amount of work I’ve managed to do.  We had a visit with his psychiatrist yesterday and finally someone that has given me some hope as I think I had really lost all hope of this behavior changing in any way.  We have seeked help in the past and haven’t gotten very far but I think we have finally found someone that can help us.

The joys of parenting!!!

Anyway, I am still working on my ’step by step’ project that I mentioned in my last post.  I should have had this finished by now but that’s ok, it’s not too far off.  I just have a few more articles to write and then make a few changes to the report and then it will be ready to go.

Last week I received my sales page for my other ‘BIG’ project that I’m working on.  I have never paid to have a sales page created for me before but this is a big one and I want to get it right.  So now having spent about $300 on graphics and sales page I hope it pays off for me.  Receiving the sales page has motivated me to get stuck into it again and get it finished.  So watch this space as I hope that I get it up and running soon.

Ok, I’m going to go and try to get another article written before I have to go and pick up my son to take him to the dentist.

I haven’t managed to get much work done this week once again thanks to the stress of wonderful children.  I am emotionally exhausted and just can’t think.

Earlier this week I did send out an email to my subscribers asking exactly what they would want in a report and from the many responses the majority wanted a complete step by step report giving all the instructions needed to start from scratch and complete a project that will make money online.  Many thought that a lot of the ebooks that are out there may give step by step instructions but don’t cover everything needed, that they assume some things would be known by the reader.  So my subscribers want something that covers EVERYTHING, and not assume any knowledge already.

So I thought the best way to do something like that would be to start a completely new project (even though I said I wouldn’t start anything new) and record every step as I went along.  So I have started a project and have been recording everything.  It was going really well until the last couple of days when my son has been causing me stress again.  Hopefully I will get stuck back into it tomorrow.

I’m quite excited about this one as it is showing to have more interest already than I have had in the past on any of my sites within the first couple of days.  I plan to include all my html files and articles that I use for this project in the package when I offer it.

So basically that’s what I’ve been doing for the last week, I think I should have it completed within the next two or three days all going well.  Then I’ll get stuck into my own article writing again.

Thankfully today we are having a better day with Corey (refer to last post) and I am in a good mood to get some work done today.  And thank goodness that the heat wave that we have been having has finished.  I am in Adelaide in South Australia and we have just experienced the longest recorded heatwave ever for an Australian city.  We had temperatures between 35 and 40 degrees celcius for 15 days straight (I think that’s about 100 to 105 farenheit).

Yesterday I typed up about three articles and submitted them to a couple of directories so hopefully today I might get a few more done.

I have so many blogs that it’s hard to keep them all up to date - but not impossible.  I’m working on one topic this week until I get about 30 articles written on that topic - which is blogging.  I am using the articles to link back to my free report at http://www.blackspiderblogging.com and also to link to my sons blog at http://www.black-spider.info.

It really is a weird name for a blogging blog and ebook but that is what Lachlan came up with and the theme so I just had to work with it.

Anyway, I’ve done about 6 articles all up for that so I have a few more to go yet.  I am also posting the articles to his blog, even though I should really change them a little before posting them to the blog.  I will be keeping my new blog http://www.my-beautiful-boy.com up to date on a daily basis hopefully as this is my ‘therapy’.  So these are my main goals at the moment.  I did run a free WSO (Warrior Special Offer on the Warrior forum) for my Black Spider Blogging report and had about 300 people download it which was quite good.

I currenly have another WSO running giving one of my own reports that I’ve made money with for the last 18 months with PLR rights at a very good price.  I’m only offering 40 copies and I think there are about 17 left at this stage so they are selling quite fast.  I tossed up whether to offer this as it has been a very good money making report for me and I didn’t want too many people to have it, which is why I limited it to 40 copies and once they are gone I wont sell it again.  http://www.warriorforum.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=228773

I have probably mentioned in the past that I have three lovely children but I don’t think I’ve mentioned that we have a lot of behavioral problems with our second child Corey.

Corey’s behavior has reached a point where I am at breaking point and cannot cope with it any longer. I am so emotionally drained that I just cannot think anymore and it really is affecting my work. I have done basically no work today online apart from one article that I managed to get written.

I have been working on an order for the last few days which is ridiculous, I should finish one order in one day not over a few days.

Today I started yet another blog - so I guess I did do something - even though I swore not to start anything new but this one is more of a personal blog.  This blog is about Corey.  I was thinking that if I started a blog about his behavior problems and how I cope with them (or not cope) then it might help me with my frustrations by getting them out.  I guess it’s a kind of diary so that I can get my thoughts out and I am going to try and get Corey to write a bit on there too.

The url for my new blog is http://www.my-beautiful-boy.com although I was a little hesitant to share it as it is fairly personal, but that’s ok.  I guess there’s no point putting my thoughts out there on a blog if I don’t want anyone to read them

So perhaps if you have had any problem children you might find my blog of interest and may even want to give us a comment or even a post.

Avery Berman has written on this blog as a guest blogger and I have mentioned him once or twice since.  Avery wrote this post on the Warrior Forum today and so I just wanted to share it with you……

Warriors… before I go to bed I feel I want to make this post.I just took a step back a few minutes ago, and an overwhelming feeling of euphoria, accomplishment and satisfaction came over me.
As I stared at my inbox, looking at several “CB SALE” and “Payment Received” notifications, I came to a realization.

I’ve really done it.

About 7 months ago, I told myself I was going to succeed online, no matter what it took, no matter how long it took.
Here I am, just 7 short months later, and I’ve done it.

I make my full-time income online.
I’m only 18, and I never have to hold down a “real job.”
I will be the one hiring.
It only goes up from here.

I just wanted to make this post to say, again, Warriors… everyone… ANYONE can do this… and it feels damn amazing when you realize that you’ve succeeded.

To everyone who’s where I am, pat yourselves on the back and realize that you have reached your goals. (Which will only get bigger from now on.)

I have seen many websites that review a heap of web hosts and many of these review websites are actually purchased sites with reviews already set up on the site.  To me, these are not true reviews and are quite deceptive.

I will not review a heap of web hosts simply because I have not used them all and therefore cannot give honest reviews on them all.  I have used and still use Hostgator and have never changed to any other webhost because I have never had any problems with Hostgator.

So I will offer a true review on Hostgator as a web host as they are the one company that I have used for a long time.

I started out hosting with GoDaddy and then I was informed that you shouldn’t host at the same site as where you purchase your domains.  Also the fact that I have quite a number of websites that Hostgator was the best choice financially and so I moved my hosting to them.

Hostgator is one of the most (if not the most) trusted hosting company on the internet.  They offer cpanel which you really want in a webhost as it makes managing your websites and blogs so much easier. In the two years that I have been with Hostgator I have never experienced any downtime with any of my websites which I couldn’t say for GoDaddy.

Hostgator has fantastic support including live chat help and so if you do need help with anything they are fantastic. I haven’t had too many occasions where I’ve had to use their help service but when I have they have been excellent.

Hostgator has Fantastico and Wordpress which is extremely easy to install with just a couple of clicks for your blogs and if you want hosting only for blogs then the cost is a very small $7.95 per month for unlimited domains.  For normal web site hosting the cost is $9.95 per month for unlimited domains which is fantastic.

I have quite a number of websites and blogs all hosted for that one cost of just $9.95 per month.

I’ve just come back from a couple of days camping on the River Murray.  It was a nice relaxing weekend but I didn’t go completely without doing any work.

I took my notepad with me and I spent a little bit of time while I was away writing notes for my ebook Black Spider Blogging.  I got into the mood of writing it then and when I got home I sat down at my laptop and got stuck into finishing it.
