I’ve just come back from a couple of days camping on the River Murray.  It was a nice relaxing weekend but I didn’t go completely without doing any work.

I took my notepad with me and I spent a little bit of time while I was away writing notes for my ebook Black Spider Blogging.  I got into the mood of writing it then and when I got home I sat down at my laptop and got stuck into finishing it.

I mentioned a while back that my kids all had blogs and my youngest son Lachlan has a blog at http://www.black-spider.info Lachlan is only five and wanted a blog because his brothers had one but he is a bit too young to really manage it.  So he chose a name and a theme for his blog (which is where the ‘Black Spider’ bit came from) and I pretty much do everything else for his blog.

I have just created and uploaded a new product called ‘Discover Your Life Purpose’.  When I first heard of these methods in this book I really had a good think about it and thought perhaps it is right.  Perhaps if I can work out what my true ‘Life Purpose’ is I can live my life the way that I ’should be’.

So much for a diary - aren’t you supposed to post every day in a diary?

Oh well, I haven’t posted for a week or so as I had a fairly stressful week.  It started off last Sunday with my five year old getting really sick.  He was fine one minute and the next started vomiting.  We’re not sure if it was a virus or food poisoning or what caused the vomiting but none of the rest of us had it.  Anyway it was pretty full on and he was vomiting every 2 or 3 minutes and then started vomiting blood so I ended up taking him down to the hospital.

The hospital closest to us doesn’t have a Paediatric unit so they called an ambulance and sent us over the other side of town to the Womens and Childrens hospital where he spent 24 hours.  They had to give him medication to stop his vomiting and took bloods and did Xrays.  Then he was put on a drip which he stayed on all night and day to rehydrate him.

They are pretty sure the cause of the blood in his vomit was that because he was vomiting so much that he tore blood vessels in his oesophagus so he was put on medication to reduce acid levels in his stomach to give them a chance to heal.  He took the last dose of that this morning.

Anyway, he is fine now but it was pretty scary at the time when your kid is vomiting blood.  And so, there is my reason for not posting it has been a very stressful period.

I actually managed to finish all my article orders, I finished the last one yesterday and I don’t think I’ll advertise for anymore for a little while and give myself a chance to get some work done on my own sites and projects.  I have one site at http://www.workfromhome-internetbusiness.com that I haven’t updated for a long time so I started doing that yesterday and I’m giving the whole site a complete make-over.  It really is outdated and some of the programs I have on there are no longer running.

I did quite a bit of work on that yesterday and have just about completed the whole new site but throughout the site I mention a few times my project at www.affiliatexplosion.com which is still a work in progress.  So I’m going to work on that and get that finished before I upload my new look site.

Affiliate Explosion is my big project that I’m hoping will do really well.  I plan to sell that through Clickbank so anyone that wants to promote it as an affiliate when it is launched feel free to do so.  I will talk more about that when I get closer to the big launch.

I actually don’t think I’ll spend too much time online today, I might write myself a couple of articles and submit them and try to get a little bit of work done on Affiliate Explosion and that will be it.  I need to spend some time house cleaning - the joys of it all

I pretty much spend my whole day online. I get up at around 9:30 everyday.  After I shower and do a few other things, I head to my computer. I am not always working directly on my online business but I am usually doing some sort of business related task, even if it’s just reading other business blogs, internet marketing forums, or replying to emails.

 

The first thing I do each morning is check everything; all my email accounts, sales, statistics, private messages, make sure my main sites are up and looking good, etc…

 

Then, I move on to forums. I am a moderator of 5 online business / work at home forums and visit a few more on a daily basis. There are always questions to answer, posts to catch up on, new threads to read, and spam to delete.

 

After that I check out a few of my favorite internet marketing / make money online blogs to see what everyone is writing about. There’s always something to learn and blogs are one of the best ways to get information. Some days I will spend a little extra time on blogs to comment on a few posts or submit some posts I really like to social bookmarking sites.

 

Once I’m done with that I go check some of my main email accounts again and reply to any emails I’ve gotten. Then, I do a little work on any new sites I am putting up or just maintain ones I already have up.

 

It’s about 1 or 2pm by now so I take an hour lunch break. Sometimes longer, sometimes shorter, but an hour is about average.

 

At about 3:00pm it’s time to update some more of my sites and blogs.

 

For the next couple hours I write at least 3 blog posts; one post for three different blogs. Then, I write at least 3 articles. Again it’s one article for three different websites. Then I publish them all.

 

Keep in mind that I have about 50 websites/blogs, and I usually update at least three of them everyday, although some of my main ones get updated much more often than the others.

 

Now it’s about 5 or 6 and it’s time take a break from my computer for a while. Although sometimes I stay on it to get on Myspace or Facebook, or something else totally unrelated to my online business. I also eat dinner some time around now.

 

At about 8pm I get back to business and start by checking my email, sales, and all the other stuff I checked right away in the morning.

 

Then, for a couple hours, I do some miscellaneous online business tasks that change almost everyday. It might be writing guest posts for blogs I help author, doing some article marketing, working on a new product, writing my newsletter, researching niches, or any of about a million other things that are a part of what I need to do as an internet marketer.

 

When my work day ends, it’s usually about 11:00pm. Then, I watch TV until about 2:00am and go to bed. I do a routine very similar to this every Monday - Thursday. On Fridays I usually do a few major things that need done and end my work day in the early afternoon sometime.

Weekends are completely random, although I usually do get a few online business tasks done on those days too if I am at home.

Can I give this package a review even if it’s my own product???  Well here goes….

I tried for such a long time to earn a decent income on Ebay  I tried purchasing stock to resell as well as dropshipping but it was all just a big pain in the arse to tell you the truth and didn’t make me much profit at all.  There was so much stuffing around with suppliers and customers not to mention the pain of going back and forward to the post office all the time.

I was just getting Nowhere Fast!

So that’s when I decided that I’d give selling information products a go instead of physical products and it was so much better.  The massive benefit of not having to deal with suppliers was great as well as not having to keep physical stock or be trying to deal with dropshippers.  When selling information products once you buy the product with resell rights that’s it, it’s yours then and you don’t have to deal with the seller anymore.  You can resell the product over and over and over again and make profit, profit and more profit.  There are not continuing purchasing costs the only cost involved at all are the ebay fees which with information products are fairly minimal.

I was more successful selling information products on Ebay than I had been selling physical products.  I did create couple of products of my own also to sell on Ebay which was good since there wasn’t anyone else selling the exact same product.

Then I created the Ebay Power Pack and this is a package of resell rights products that people can purchase and resell on Ebay - or anywhere else for that matter.  I created this package for 2 reasons. 

First was that I’ve seen packages that sell a heap of resell products and I’ve even purchased some in the past but there were a couple of things I didn’t like about them.  1. They were being sold for about $50 and that is not always affordable for everyone.  2. Half of the download links didn’t even work so I didn’t even get all the products advertised in their ad.  So I created this package that is much more affordable and the download links all work (if for any reason any of them stop working please let me know if you notice and I will fix it straight away).

The second reason I put this package together is because a lot of these other packages contained crap.  Crap that you really couldn’t resell.  So my package includes only the products that I have successfully sold and I know are very sellable.

This package actually contains a couple of my own written products and one in particular “Path To Ebay Riches” I sell this outside of Ebay for $8 http://www.pathtoebayriches.com .  It could be sold for more but I only sell it for $8 because I want to make it affordable.  You only need to sell three copies of this and you will have made your money back on your purchase of the entire package.

This package also contains a WOW Guide (World Of Warcraft) http://www.w-o-w-guide.info/ that is the link to my offline site for selling this at $7 - this guide is hugely popular and a great seller.

So it wouldn’t take long to make your money back on this package and then it is all profit after that.  I also give you free updates in the future if I add new items to the package.

Today I want to talk about a young lad by the name of Avery Berman.  If you have visited my blog before then you may have read my previous post that was written by Avery as a guest blogger.  That was when I first met Avery when he volunteered to give me a guest post about a day in his life as an Internet Marketer.

Avery is an 18 year old Internet Marketer and he actually started making money online when he was just 13 years of age and now at the ripe old age of 18 he is doing extremely well.

Do you ever find yourself working all day without a break?

Do you ever feel like you are missing a lot of your life because you just spend all your time on you computer?

It’s time to Stop And Smell The Roses!

I often find myself spending way too much time working on my computer and not enough time with my family and enjoying all the little important things in life.

After all isn’t the reason we want to earn an income online so that we can work less hours and spend more time with our families.  So it really is important to make sure that you do because it really doesn’t take long before you realise that a year has gone by and you feel like you haven’t done too much with your family.

Last year we took six months off and travelled around Australia.  Well, half of Australia, we started where we live in Adelaide and went up the centre of Australia up to Darwin stopping at Ayers Rock and Alice Springs on the way.  We spent a couple of months in Darwin and then headed over to North Queensland where we spent about 10 weeks in Cairns and then headed down the East coast before coming back to Adelaide.

Anyway what has all this got to do with ’stopping to smell the roses’?  When we were away we didn’t have anyone stay in our house but our neighbour, my Mum and my husbands parents all kept an eye on the place.  Every time we spoke to them on the phone or received emails they would always rave on about how nice our roses are looking.  We have a pathway that goes through the centre of our front garden and it is lined on both sides with red standard roses (Sir Donald Bradman Rose - that is one of our roses in the picture).  We constantly heard about how our roses were in full bloom and have never looked so good.  Of course when we come home my Mum had pruned all the roses so there were none for us too see.

We have been home for about seven weeks now and yesterday I noticed a rose and today there are three.  Our roses are starting to bloom again and they look lovely.  On the way home this morning after taking the kids to school I walked right past the roses and got to the front door and I stopped and turned around.  That’s when I thought, I really never take time to really stop and smell the roses.  So I went back and I did and they smell beautiful.

I know the saying is not necessarily to literally smell roses but to just take the time and do the little special things in life is so important.  And if you do have roses, make sure you do smell them every now and then.

You will be amazed at how much more you will achieve with your work when you come back to it after taking a little break and getting away from it for a while.  So don’t get too wrapped up in your internet marketing and always take the time to smell the roses.

Ok, just a quick post today before I head off to bed.  I had another one of the kids home sick today and boy did he really put on the acting this morning.  Within an hour after the other 2 were at school he was fine so I’m pretty sure he was pulling a ‘fakey’.  He’s getting pretty good though he’d probably win an Oscar for today’s performance.

Anyway, yesterday I think I mentioned that I bought a website through a WSO.  Well all I had to do to it was to change the affiliate links within it to my own and then upload the site to a domain name which didn’t take very long to do.  So here is my progress with my new site.

I purchased it just yesterday afternoon at a cost of $27.  Then I purchased a .com domain name for it which was about $10.  I wrote and submitted one article to 2 directories - cost of $0. I set up a PPC campaign (Adwords) and so far have a cost there of about $6.  So all up I have spent about $43 total on this website.

Today I made 2 sales with a commission of $33.90 each so a total of $67.80 in commission minus my $43 in expenses and I have a profit within my first day of around $24.  I’m pretty happy with that and with my only expense from now on being the PPC campaign I should make more profits.  Web hosting is costing me nothing for this site really as I have unlimited domain hosting with Hostgator and I added this site to my account there so it doesn’t cost anything extra.

My PPC campaigns are actually directing traffic to my articles that I submitted rather than to my website itself with the aim of getting  a higher ranking for my articles to get them hopefully up to page 1 in Google.  Once they hit page 1 then I can take off the PPC campaign and run on profits with no expenses.

So that’s my news for the day and it was a reasonably successful day.  I’m still working on article orders but don’t have too much more to do now and then I will concentrate on my own work.  I will aim at getting all 3 kids to school tomorrow and hopefully have the day to myself to concentrate on what I’m doing.

Today I had Lachlan home from school as he wasn’t feeling too good this morning with a blocked nose and headache.  He picked up fairly quickly though and probably would have been ok to go to school.

Today I purchased a WSO (I really need to stay out of the WSO section) it was a review website already made up promoting a particular product. As soon as I saw the product I liked the idea as I’ve seen this product do well for a colleague in the past, so when I saw an already made website for it I couldn’t help myself.  I did some keyword research and there is a ton of searches and keywords to use.

The only thing I had to do with the website was to change the affiliate links to my own and upload it to a domain name which I purchased.  I have written one article and submitted it to a couple of article directories and have also set up a ppc campaign.  So fingers crossed this will do well.  I shouldn’t need to do to much other than drive traffic to the site which I will mainly do through article marketing.

I actually managed to finish another article order and have two more to go. I wish I could be more focused and get stuck into them instead of getting sidetracked and looking through the WSO section.

We had aquantance night at school tonight which I wasn’t going to go to but the kids talked me into it.  Worked out well since they had a bbq there so it saved me cooking tea (I hate cooking).

Well, heading off to bed now.  I do feel like I have been a bit productive today which is good.  I hope you have had a productive day also, goodnight.
